Women’s Health & Hormones Part I
When considering a woman’s health throughout her life, comprehending all the changes, transitions, fluctuations, and conditions she goes through can be overwhelming. This course delves into how we can categorize most of women’s primary hormones, gynecological conditions, and experiences into two fundamental groups. These perspectives draw from Ayurveda, nāḍi theory, Chinese Medicine, and Western science.
Dr. Welch has been teaching this course worldwide in various forms since 1998. The knowledge presented here, combined with the insights found in “Balance Your Hormones, Balance Your Life: Achieving Optimal Health and Wellness through Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, and Western Science,” is information we believe every woman should have access to. It is presented and synthesized in a unique manner not found elsewhere, making it valuable for medical professionals, Ayurveda students and practitioners, Chinese or Daoist medicine practitioners and students, as well as individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of their level of expertise in medicine or health.

Women’s Health & Hormones Part II
In the first part of the Women’s Health & Hormones series, we delved into how women’s primary hormones and various gynecological conditions can be categorized using an integrated approach that combines Ayurveda, nāḍi theory, Chinese Medicine, and Western science. We identified the first category as hormonal imbalance and the second as stagnation. Throughout this course, we explored methods for addressing these issues through lifestyle adjustments, dietary changes, and straightforward home remedies.
In the second part of the series, “Srotorodha & The 6 Therapeutic Principles,” we take a deeper dive into these categories, assigning clinical terminology from Ayurveda to them. We examine treatment strategies and present case studies to provide a more comprehensive understanding of how to apply these theories to resolve disorders such as hormonal imbalances leading to painful periods, fibrocystic breast changes, uterine fibroids, and other gynecological issues. While we place a strong emphasis on utilizing Ayurveda’s six therapeutic principles to address stagnation, simply exploring the intriguing facets of these principles can be beneficial when dealing with various disorders.

The Planets
Intertwining stories, theories, Āyurveda, Jyotiṣa, broader philosophical insights from India, personal experiences, and wisdom passed down from their mentors, Dr. Robert Svoboda and Dr. Claudia Welch embark on a journey to delve into the myths, characteristics, personalities, and potentialities associated with each of the nine “planets” or grahas in Jyotiṣa. Pratyahara
Pratyāhāra, also known as the “withdrawal of the senses,” represents a fundamental practice within the realm of Yoga, as elucidated by the ancient sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sūtra. It is the fifth limb among the eight limbs of Yoga. In this course, Dr. Welch and Dr. Robert Svoboda embark on an exploration of both the theory and practical aspects of pratyāhāra. They delve into its significance and purpose, the cultivation of awareness necessary for its practice, its interconnection with the flow of prāṇa (life force energy), and its pertinence in our contemporary lives. Throughout the course, participants are encouraged to engage in guided visualizations, chanting, and pratyāhāra exercises to actively experience and internalize these teachings.
