Sanjeev Kumar Kulangara

Dr. Shubham Kulkarni is an Ayurvedic physician, palliative-care specialist, psychologist, and Indian classical vocalist who integrates Ayurveda, mental health, Gandharva Veda music therapy, and consciousness-based healing in clinical practice and education.

With over 8 years of clinical experience, he runs his own clinic in Pune and is associated with multiple palliative and geriatric care centres in Pune and Mumbai, offering compassionate support to patients with chronic disease, anxiety, and end-of-life needs.

He has been trained in Indian classical music for over 25 years under Shri Pt. Shounak Abhisheki, and serves as the Head of the Gandharva Veda Music Therapy Department at MER University, Netherlands.

Recently, Dr. Kulkarni has been awarded a prestigious research fellowship by the Infosys Foundation at the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), Pune) for his work on Nāda, Rāga, Rasa & consciousness through Abhinavgupta’s philosophy.

Dr. Kulkarni has conducted over 500 workshops and trained more than 10,000 participants across India and abroad, offering experiential journeys in sound, healing, and inner well-being.

He works internationally in mental health, autism, dementia, grief-care, anxiety regulation, and end-of-life counselling, using rāga, sound, and contemplative practices as therapeutic tools.

Till date, he has travelled extensively across India, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland and Brazil, offering courses, workshops, retreats, consultations, and concerts to diverse audiences and academic communities.

He is also an upcoming speaker at the World Congress of Music Therapy 2026 in Italy.

Dr. Kulkarni is co-authoring a major book titled “Death & Dying through Indian Wisdom Traditions” with Dr. Robert Svoboda and Dr. Claudia Welch from USA.

He is also developing another work on Ayurveda, music, and spirituality for world peace.

He is a guest instructor on Satsangam’s Vedic Threads membership-based online course.
